HOW it WORKs

Each week you’ll play five games, each against a new player. It’s a massive round-robin style league. If we can stay on track with the schedule, we will aim to play 21-point games with five serves apiece at a time. If/when we start to run late, we'll adjust and play 15-point games with two serves apiece at a time. Basically we’re promising 15 points, but striving for 21.

Scoring

You get 3 points for a win, 1 point for a loss, and 0 points for a forfeit / no-show.

HOW TO SIGN UP

When you do sign up, visit The Wolfhound and purchase from the bartender - you can pay however you like, including ApplePay.

what is a ‘social’ league?

PingPod hosts great leagues for people looking to play more competitively. This league is more about meeting people - you play against 25 different people in the season.

And for us, hanging out at the bar and getting to know each other is just as important as the hour of game time each week.

WHAT IF I AM REALLY BAD AT PING PONG?

Not a problem! We have a wide range of experience. And what’s cool is that the games are run by PingPong staff, all of whom are either professional table tennis players, or coaches, and in some cases even Olympians! It’s a unique opportunity to get helpful feedback on your game.

Happy Hour runs until 11pm on Thursdays at The Wolfhound.

WHAT IS PINGPOD?

Firstly, they’re our new neighbors and friends - good people :)
PingPod is a really cool table tennis facility with online booking. Create an account, book a table, go play ping pong! You can bring your own paddle…but they provide everything you need in order to play. It’s open 24 hours a day, and features technological touches like instant replay(!). It’s cool, and we’re psyched to partner with them on this social league.
